 Community Support Services are services offered by Citizen Advocates, Incorporated to assist children, adults and families who are in need of services to support their mental health while residing in our north-country community. A variety of services are available to individuals with a mental health diagnosis and who meet criteria established by New York State’s Office of Mental Health

Adult respite services are available to individuals who are in need of additional support to avoid inpatient treatment. This service is provided by a trained member of the community who has opened up their home to us to provide this important service.  You must be 18 years of age or older and have a mental health diagnosis. 
 
 
*Escort/Transportation Service

  Escort/Transportation Service provides transportation and consumer support to individuals or families who are pursuing voluntary inpatient treatment or rehab.
 
 
*Enhanced Mentor Program

Enhanced Mentor Program in the southern end is a program that provides services to children after-school to help them achieve academic success and improve their socialization skills.  This program also matches community volunteers (who pass the agency’s background clearances) to children in the southern-end elementary schools who are looking for a positive mentor/role model experience.
